Happy New Years Eve!

I ended up picking up a shift at work today, so I took Grace and Charlie to the sports center before work. It ended up getting interrupted due to work calling and asking if I could come in earlier since they were swamped. I can't say no, so I came in earlier.
Charlie wanted to be a cowboy, but the only costume they had was a ninja, so he was a ninja cowboy.

Grace wanted to show off her ninja moves as well!

Then they played air hockey.

We rang in the new year at a coworkers of Ross's house. We played some games, ate some food and watched the ball drop. Good bye 2010, it has been a good year!

Merry Christmas and day 3 of Christmas festivities.

We spent Christmas day morning with the Krebs family, this is my dads side. Due to the snow storm last year, we haven't seen this side of the family for two years and alot has changed. More babies, engagements and new families.

Here is Laven and William. They are a week and a half apart in age. He is my cousin Shannon's first child. They played as well as 1 year olds would.

Christmas Day 2!

Merry Christmas Eve. Today is the day we spend with Ross's family! We started out with lunch, then naps. Unfortunately Ross's mom got the flu right after lunch, we sadly had to continue on with christmas without her. She did make it out for a bit to see the kids open their gifts from her and for a photo with the grandkids.
And more presents. Here is a lineup of the kids before opening presents

Christmas Day 1!

Our Christmas always ends up being a long weekend! Lucky for the kids, but tiring on mom and dad! But it is always nice to see all of our family again. Today we headed over to my parents house to have Christmas there with my sister Kathy, nephew Dylan and my parents! My dad, Ross and Kathy took the kids outside in the morning to go sledding down the hills. Ross ended up pulling them on the fourwheeler, which Charlie apparently LOVED. He even fell off a couple time and just got back up and went again. I was watching from the house with William, getting very nervous watching them!

I was shocked when I walked in the room and saw William sitting in the chair, enjoying his milk and snack. He was very proud of himself that he could get up there all by himself.
When we returned to Grandma and Grandpa Lendt's house, they were all involved in decorating cookies. Grace and Charlie jumped right in. They have been waiting to do this for a while.

Charlie's Haircut!

It was time for a haircut for Charlie. I usually have been cutting his hair, but it ends up being a battle and he cries the entire time, so I thought I would try taking him to someone else. Ross gets a gift card to a salon from work, so I used that. He did okay for the first part, then when the hair started to dry and get all over his neck and he got more squirmy. He sure is handsome though!

Chores!

I finally got some time to wrap some Christmas gifts, and Grace and Charlie wanted to help. It was interesting where charlie wanted to put the tape, not always where it was suppose to go. Grace figured it out pretty quickly and loved doing it!

After supper Grace really wanted to wash the dishes. She refused to change out of her dance outfit, so she insisted on washing them with it on! Oh well. Charlie wanted to dry them...most of them stayed pretty wet, but it was the thought! He was proud of himself!
009
Then a photo shoot of William! He loves the camera!

His Ohhh face. He actually looks like he is going to give a kiss!

Clapping! We just figured out how to do this!

Happy Birthday Charlie!

Today is Charlies birthday! Where has the time gone! He is getting to be such a big boy.....I feel like I missed the past three years. He loves making people laugh, he thinks he is always so funny. He not only looks like his dad, but his personality reminds me of him too. He loves to cuddle with mom and dad. Loves playing with his sister, even if she has to pick what they play! He loves fruit, so far my best fruit eater. He is a wonderful boy and we love him so much. Happy Birthday buddy. (oh, and I asked him what he wanted for Christmas, he said "nothing, I already got buzz.") Christmas shopping is done for him!

And, I have to post some pics from all the snow we got. I have no idea the amount of snow...but it sure is alot! Not to mention our furnace wasn't working last night when we got home, so our house was cold. Ross figured out that it was because the vents were blocked, so he had to go and shovel them clear as well. What a snow storm!

After Ross finished our driveway, thanks to the neighbors snow blower, he helped another neighbor clean out what the plow left behind.

Braving the weather!

Allright, we are crazy. Ross's coworker had an ugly sweater party! We debated on going since the plows never cleared our roads by our house. Our babysitter got stuck trying to get into our driveway. But, we still decided to go. The main roads were fine, it was just tough trying to get out of our development. Ross had to plow through the ally way to get to the driveway at his friends house. I was a little nervous we weren't going to make it, but we did. This picutre is of the alley way, didn't turn out how I would of liked it to....oh well.
012
I had to drive home..I was so nervous. I barely made it to our house due to the bad side roads. Our dive way was all blown in, so Ross decided to plow through that as well....I thought for sure he was either going to hit our babysitters car, or the house...needless to say, the truck was covered in snow. Thank goodness for four-wheel drive!

Meet Fisbee!

We adopted a new member to our family. Fisbee, The Elf on the Shelf, has come to our home! Grace was so excited to see Fisbee, she looks for him every morning. For those of you not familiar with The Elf of the Shelf, let me explain his purpose. Santa sends each family an elf of their own. You adopt him, and give him a name, Grace chose Fisbee. The elf sits somewhere in your home, watching the kids. Every night, the elf flies back to the north pole to report to Santa if your kids were naughty or nice. The next day, the elf is in a new spot. The kids can talk to the elf, but he is under stick orders not to talk to anyone. He also can't be touched, or he loses his magic. There is even a website to adopt your elf. Grace loves Fisbee, she is always telling Charlie, "Fisbee is watching you"!
