Friday Fun!

Movie night is Friday nights. Grace really enjoys them. Tonight she had Chloe over for supper and she stayed for the movie. Chloe and Charlie only made to half way through before they were chasing each other around the house. Grace was trying to enforce them to sit down and watch the movie.

Grace's busy day!

I feel as if I have only been posting about Grace lately, but I guess she is the one with the most going on right now. Today was very busy for her. We started out the day with a Field trip to Lamb-a-lot Acres in Augusta. I volunteered to drive and took along one of Grace's friends Payton. The kids were very excited to see all the sheep, (there were around 150 total). There was even a baby lamb that was born the night before.


Grace also had her last swimming lesson. She passed the Seal level. She even jumped off the side of the pool. She did really well!

Messy Charlie!

We had a little trouble at supper time getting Charlie to eat his meal. He does this sometimes. Simply refuses to eat, no matter what it is. Instead of eating it, he "sprinkles" it all over. He has also started to figure out that if he drops food on the floor, Buddy will eat it for him. He ended up with his meal all over his face. He sat there for an hour and fifteen minutes until he ate some of his vegetables and some of his meal. I think that was the longest meal ever!

Outdoor Fun!

I have to give credit where credit is due. I was exhausted last night from the long weekend and unpacking everything and doing laundry. I actually woke up this morning dreading the house cleaning that I thought was waiting for me for the day. Thankfully, Ross cleaned the house last night when I went to bed. It was the most thoughtful thing he could of done. I have to say he is a wonderful husband!

Now, on for the day. We spent a lot of time outside today in the afternoon. Grace was pretty disappointed when her neighbor girl wasn't home to play with that she actually said she didn't want to be outside. So, we all got out and played around. Charlie is starting to learn to swing by himself.

William LOVES the swing. He has the best giggle in the swing. (sorry for the small picture)

Can't beleive I did it!

One would think that when kids go to bed at 10:30 pm three nights in a row, they would sleep in until 8, right? Well not in this house. Grace and Charlie were up by 6:45, William was up at 6:15! So since we got an early start to the morning, I decided to get out, 8:15 to be exact, and get groceries since we have a food shortage in our house. I usually go to Festival where they have a place for the kids to play while William and I get groceries, but they don't open up till 9am, so we headed to Walmart! They did pretty well for the most part. Close to the end Charlie started screaming because he wanted out! Don't know how often I will do that!

Isaac Birthday party!

Today we celebrated Isaac's 4th Birthday Party. His actual birthday is April 15th, but since everyone was home, Sarah held his party today! It was such a fun time.


Later in the day we went over to my parents house. Grace and Charlie got to play with Dylan, their cousin. Charlie still needs to learn how to share with him. He was outside playing in the rain and dirt when we got there. He sure is an active kid!


Today is Grace's actual birthday! Nothing like having a four day celebration for turnign 4! I can't believe my little girl is 4. Where has the years gone! She is such a passionate girl. She loves her family and her friends more than anything. Some of her favorite things to do are reading books, cooking with mom, playing with daycare friends and neighbor girls, singing and dancing. She loves the outdoors. Her favorite thing to wear is a dress or skit. She has an old dress that is too small that she wants to wear nearly everyday. She is a wonderful big sister to her brothers. She lives life out loud. She loves to tell us everything she is doing. She is daddy's little girl, but mommy's sweetheart. She amazes us everyday with the new things she learns. Nothing makes her happier than when we are all home together. She is a wonderful daughter and we love her so much. Happy Birthday Grace!

Grace's Birthday Pary

We celebrated Grace's 4th Birthday today at Grandma and Grandpa Lendt's house in Sleepy Eye. She had a lot of fun! She has been so excited about turning 4! It was a great day. It was so much fun to see everyone again. Grace loved celebrating with her cousins! Now she keeps talking about turning 5!

Heading to Sleepy Eye

Today we are heading back to Sleepy Eye to celebrate Grace's birthday. We decided to let her open her birthday gift from us early so we didn't have to haul it all the way there and back. She was pretty excited about her blanket that mom and dad made for her. I think she liked the card even more because it sang to her when she opened it!

Birthday Party

Today at school, Grace celebrated her birthday. Grace choose for me to read the book Goldilicious as her activity for the day. She got to wear a birthday crown and the class sang happy birthday. She was very proud of herself today! It was very cute to see how they celebrate birthdays at her school.

Too cute

Normal routine in the morning is for the kids to watch a show, while I feed William. Then after, breakfast. Most of the time when they are on the same couch, they fight about who is touching who. Today, for some reason, they decided they wanted to lay next to each other. I had to capture this moment, because I know it won't happen often!

Poor Charlie!

Ross doesn't care for this picture, but I thought it was kind of cute. Charlie for some reason decided to crawl under the stroller and under the seat. Well, during this, he got stuck and started crying. What do you do!

First Birthday Pary

Grace went to her first birthday party today for her neighbor friend Chloe. She was so excited for this day. She talked about it all weekend. Finally the day came. She wrapped her own present for Chloe. I had to remind her not to tell Chloe what her gift was. Grace went with Chloe and her mom to the roller rink, they used scooters instead of skates. I was a little nervous sending grace to a birthday party by herself with other girls who are all 7, but Grace said it went well. I thought that Chloe and Grace would have seen enough of each other at the party, but they insisted on playing together afterwords as well for 2 hours. Grace skipped her nap today to go the party. She was OUT at 8pm! She had a very long day!

Long road ahead.

We have started the process of finishing our basement. Finally after 3 years. First, we have to clean out all the STUFF that has accumulated in our basement. We have been using it as a playground for the kids, especially in the winter. That basement has gotten us through some long winters! If you have ever seen our basement before, you will know that this picture is an improvement! All the STUFF has been moved to our garage for now. We put a pretty good dent into it so far. Hopefully by tomorrow, we can have most of it out! I have to say I am very sad that I had to pack all of my scrapbook things away.

Sleeping Charlie

Ross was reading some books to the kids before naps today. Charlie didn't make it past page two.


Will is getting so big now! Can't believe it. He loves to chew on everything. It all ends up in the mouth!

Grace's School Conference

Tonight we had Grace's school conferences with her teacher Mrs. K. We learned some things about Grace we knew, and other things we didn't know.

1. She has really grown over the last year. (Mrs K was also Grace's teacher from camp come and play last spring)
2. She loves clean up time. Mrs. K said she likes it when toys get in the right bin and fixes it if they aren't (that must be her mother in her!)
3. She is well liked. She gets along well with all of her classmates.
4. She loves to play dress up with Ainsley and Payton.
5. She is very patient and kind to her classmates.
6. She prefers to play with friends(especially Ainsley, her name came up often:)) than alone.
7. She is very independent.

Ross and I are glad we decided to send her to Noah's Ark this year. Can't wait for Charlie to go next year. We will see how well that goes!

They had some one on one time with their teachers and Mrs. K asked Grace to tell a story. It really made me laugh, so I thought I would share it!

Grace's Story
"The princesses lock the bad guys into the dungeon. Then the bad guys got out and they take the princess to the dungeon. Then the King helps them. That's all I got. Oh...the dragons, they eat us."

Dentist appt for Buddy.

Buddy had a long day today. He had to be at the vet at 9am for a dental appointment. Yes...I said dental. He had 17 teeth pulled. I kind of freaked out at first until she told me dogs have 44 teeth! I guess this is pretty common for smaller breeds of dogs to have bad teeth and by middle age to have them pulled. I though that was weird since buddy is really only almost 6, but then I guess his life expectancy is 12 years, so that would make him middle aged! I felt really bad until another pet owner came in with their dog who was much smaller than buddy and the vet said that the dog only had 4 teeth left! Now we really have to work hard at making sure he gets good oral care. The best part is, his breath is so much better! Charlie really missed him today. I knew he really liked him, but didn't realize how much till today. Charlie asked about him every two hours. He was so excited when it was time to pick him up!

Charlie loves sunglasses. He found this old pair of Grace's in the house and said they were his and put them on. He walked around with them on for a while! He is kind of weird that way.

Look at me!

William surprises me everyday! I got home from work today, to see William on his tummy, using his arms to push himself up! I can't believe how fast he is growing. I really want his to stay this little forever! I can't believe how far he can push himself up!

Scrabooking

I spent the day with April and Karen scrapbooking at a little place up in Chippewa Falls. It was a relaxing and fun day. I think I put a pretty good dent into what I needed to get done. I feel a little more caught up. I forgot to take a picture of us actually scrapbooking, so I took a picture of what I got accomplished. 7 layouts in about 12 hours isn't too bad!

Under the weather.

William has caught his first cold. Poor guy. He just screams at me when I have to clean his nose. So far, he is sleeping pretty well during the night, still getting up once. He doesn't necessarily need to eat, he has gone many times without it, but it is the easiest thing to get him to calm down and go to bed, rather than listening to him cry for an hour. He is just a little bit more irritable with his cold, and wants some loving!

Poor Buddy!

Have to show a picture of Buddy, our dog! He accidentally sneaked out of the house on Monday when I was getting ready for work. I usually check to make sure he is in the house before I leave, but I was running late and forgot to! I guess he was wondering over by the school that is in our backyard. Our neighbor went go pick up his daughter from there and on their way back, found buddy on the deck. They ended up taking him home until Ross got home and picked him up. He was only outside for about an hour and a half. Poor guy! We do love him....Charlie loves to pick on him...poor guy!

Swim Lessions

Grace is starting swimming lessons today. Ross took her to her first day! She loves it! Hopefully this will help with her fear of the water!

What a monkey!

One of Grace's favorite things to do in the basement is climb up the poles that hold our house up! She pushes over totes and uses them to get up higher, then tries to climb all the way up! She has finally achieved her goal and is very proud of herself. Too bad she won't be able to do it much longer as we start the process of finishing our basement. First step....cleaning out the junk that has accumulated!


William loves his jumper! I found this outfit today up in the closet(can't quite see the whole thing) . It was a gift from someone, sorry I can't remember who. I am usually very good at remembering. It is 6-9 months...I guess it is time to clean out the 3-6 month clothes already. They are starting to get tight! Crazy how fast he is growing!

Happy Easter!

We spent the day in the cities celebrating Easter with Ross's family. It was a BEAUTIFUL day out! Could not believe how nice it turned out! Grace really enjoyed the egg hunt. She kept telling me not to help her find the eggs cause she could do it all by herself! Charlie slept through the egg hung, but had tons of helpers in finding his eggs when he woke up. William slept through most of the day, which goes to show, since I only took one picture of him on Easter with his aunt Autumn. How on earth am I going to scrapbook one picture! Oh well. Happy Easter to all!

Preparing for Easter

I spent the majority of the day making cupcakes for Easter tomorrow. They really did take pretty much all day! I ended up making 24 of these cupcakes. Ross kept telling me I was crazy. I probably am!

Grace and Charlie helped to decorate the cream cheese cupcakes! Charlie preferred to eat most of the candy that was suppose to go on top.

Grace has been practicing her dribbling skills. Ross counted to about 35 dribbles before she lost it!

I finally did it!

So after three years of wanting to do it, I finally got Lasik eye surgery today. They wouldn't let me take a picture of me lying on the table, but Ross very nicely took a picture of me in the waiting room right before they took me in. I went home and slept for about 2.5 hrs and my vision is still a little foggy, but other wise it is great!


I made Ross take Charlie to get a hair cut this morning. It was starting to get too long. Ross said he did great! Sat perfectly! He was pretty proud of his haircut when he got home too!
