Busy weekend!

I apologize for the lack of posts. It seems to slip my mind somedays! Ross has been moving forward with the basement. Ross's sister and brother-in-law came up this weekend and helped with the basement. They got the majority of the walls up! Thanks so much Autumn for watching the kids while I worked so Ross and Mike could work on the basement! It was greatly appreciated. And, thank you Mike for the hard work you did with the basement! The basement is starting to look smaller and smaller as the walls get built.


On Sunday, we went to our daycare's sons wedding. We only made it for the dance, but the kids had a blast. Grace danced for the majority of the time. She very patiently waited on the side of the dance floor while the bride and groom danced and the parents danced. But when it was her turn, she was the first on the dance floor!

This guy was out dancing with the kids in the beginning. Grace didn't know what to think of him.

My camera wasn't quite doing what I wanted, so I apologize for the dark pictures!

Slowly but surely!

Ross got to work on the basement today. He had a friend come over and help with a couple walls tonight after the kid's naps. He is doing a great job. So far, one whole room is framed. The plumber has been out and roughed in the new bathroom. Now we just have to get the inspector next! Can't wait!

6 months already!

I can't believe it has been six months already. William is getting so big. He is growing so fast. Almost makes me want to have another......I said almost! :-) Here is what William is up to. I can no longer put him on the floor and think he is going to stay in one spot! He is getting where ever he needs to be!

Laundry, and more laundry.

Didn't' realize how far behind I was with the laundry until Ross was looking for his white t-shirts the other day and he didn't have any. Oops. So today, I tackled the laundry. All 11 loads of it. This is only half of it, I already had some of it put away!

It is finally warm enough to plant my mothers day flowers!

Finally Finished

I have been working on wedding invites for a friend at work. Here is the finished product, all 170 of them, ready to be mailed out.

William is growing too fast!

William has learned a new trick!


And he isn't quite 6 months yet! Yikes He has also figured out how to army crawl, sort of. He gets one arm out in front and uses his feet to push him forward. He doesn't get very far, but her does get everywhere now!

Grace's School Program

Grace's school had a spring program tonight. They sang alot of songs that they learned throughout the year. At the end, we got to see a slide show of their year and things they have done. It was really cute. Grace was very into her singing and all her moves. They even got a whistle, it was very popular!

Bowling!

This was the kid's first time in a hotel, not counting the time we got kicked out because of our carbon dioxide levels in our house! They were super excited. They even slept in the same bed! After breakfast, we went bowling. The kids had a lot of fun!



William just hung out and watched. I didn't realize the toy was in the way, but it was the only picture I could get with him smiling!

Afterwards, a little bumper cars against the cousins. Charlie was too little to sit in the cars, he played a little game with Grandma instead!

Congratulations Autumn!

Ross's sister Autumn graduated today from the University of Minnesota with her Masters of Nursing Degree. We went out to eat at Gasthof zur Gemutlichkeit, a German restaurant in Minneapolis. It was a lot of fun. Lots of polka music, klinking and drinking! William didn't like how loud it was, he spent some time in a back room crying. Poor guy. He better get used to it, he is fully German! Congratulations Autumn, were are very proud of you!

Getting ready!

We are heading to the cities tomorrow. We started packing when I got home after work. Grace loved packing her new bag she got for her bithday (thanks Aunt Sarah and Uncle Keith). She was so excited, she even had to put her bag in the van. A little hard to get to bed that night!

William's new toy???

None of my kids every took a Nook, they just suck their thumb/fingers. William, has been the hardest, he refused a nook and never took to his thumb. Today, he was in his walker, and talking. Charlie thought he was crying and tried to quiet him down and stuck a nook in his mouth. I couldn't believe it when I looked and he was actually sucking on it! He kept it in his mouth for a while. Wow! Maybe this will be an answer to our sleepless nights. Nothing like taking to a nook at 6 month huh! We will see if he keeps to it!

Sleeping children

We really didn't do much today. Just hung out at home. Ross worked and I had off. The kids always look so peaceful when they are sleeping, especially Charlie. He seems to keep getting more energy everyday. I wish I could get some of that!

Bath Time!

Bath night! William is starting to grow out of his baby bath. He doesn't sit still and always wants to roll over. I gave up fighting him and now just hold on to him in the big bath. Grace wanted to hold him while I washed him up. Don't really know why she is trying to hold up two fingers though.

Charlie didn't want much to do with the pictures with Grace and William, so we got him alone! Silly kid that one!

Bedtime books!

I worked all day today, so my only time with the kids is at bedtime. All three of us, reading books. The kids absolutely love it when it is time to read books. Sometimes we get caught away with reading and forget it is time for bed.
