Church and Brunch!

Ross is working so it is just me and the kids today! Off to church in the morning, dressed in our Sunday best!
Then I bravely decided to take the kids out for lunch by my self! Surprisingly it went better than it has in the past! Charlie kept himself quite busy drawing this picture, Grace drew one as well, and William, he kept other people entertained with his shenanigans!! He used a bowl to build a castle in the middle with guards(creamer) all around and the Sugar was the bad guys(tornadoes) attacking the castle! One bystander was quite entertained with his sound effects! Never a dull moment!

Movie and the Badgers!

Our bank had a ️kids day and offered for kids members to see the movie "Home" for free! Ross had to work, so the kids and I, along with the Sydows and Falkenbergs went to see the movie! It was a cute movie! The kids took up the entire back row!!
NO, we didn't go to Madison for school, we went to South Dakota, and we know we are from Minnesota, but we have never really been big Gophers fans. We have lived here now for 8 years, and having friends who are all Badgers fans and watching them with them, has made us become pretty big Badgers fans. So, how else do you watch the Badgers playing in the Elite 8!! All scrunched up on one couch of course! GO BADGERS!!!

Williams Smoothie!

William has been obsessed with smoothies. Asking for them alot! He was begging for one today, and I told him I would make one for him after I showered. He apparently didn't want to wait, I came out of the bathroom to hear the blender going. I am not sure what he put in his smoothie. I did try it and it wasn't horrible. He was so proud of himself!

No cavities!

Ross was positive William had a cavity. He has complained on and off that his tooth hurt! So, I made his appointment and got off early enough to take him to the dentist. He made the hygienist laugh, when asked what tooth hurt, he pointed to one on the bottom right, and when she asked which one, he responded with "The one that is cracked, can't you see it!" What a kid! Turns out, no cavities...just stained! Whoofta! He was pumped. Although he is still convinced he has a cracked tooth!

Reminiscing at our old school!

Grace wanted to spend a day at her cousins school with them! They attend old school, Sleepy Eye Public! The boys, grandma and I came and had lunch with Zachary and Isaac, then Ross and the kids and I picked her up after school! We spent some time walking around the school checking out how much it has changed! We looked at the plaque displays by the gym and found dads baseball state championship trophy! The kids thought that was pretty cool!
Afterwards we headed over to see Great-great grandma Seidl! She turns 99 on the 24th! She is an amazing woman! We are so blessed to have her in our lives! The kids each made her a birthday card!
Later that night, we went over and visited Michelle and Brian and their family! William just wanted to wrestle with the boys! Riley was not so sure he wanted to wrestle!
grace made herself pretty comfortable on Uncle Brian's lap while they watched The Princess Diaries together!!!

Life on the farm!

The kids love coming to grandma and grandpa Lendts and going over to Uncle Keith's farm to check out the animals! Today the kids got to see a baby calf being born! Grace also got to take a ride on one of the horses as well! Somedays, I think Ross misses living in a farm!

Home and gone again!

We headed home(Eau Claire). Early in the morning! Gave us some time to do some laundry and pack for part two of the kids spring break week! Heading back home(Sleepy Eye) for the rest of the week! The kids always get confused when I call Sleepy Eye "home". But to me, it is always home!! They will get it some day!

We spent another day hitting up two of the water parks at the Wilderness! Grace made sure to hit up the slides as many times as she could! William and Charlie took it a lot of waves at the wave pool! And to end the day...Slushies!

Full day at the water parks!

Kids got lots of swimming in today! Kids had so much fun! William is a little dare devil when it comes to water! No fear in this kid!

Late night cards!

We made it to the dells around 4:30! Enough time to eat supper and to head to one of the water parks for a couple hours! Once we got all 10 kids to bed, we stayed up and played a game of dirty clubs!

Morning snuggles!

It has been a long time since I have had off and home with the kids without having to rush them for school! Charlie was up bright and early at 6:45! I thought maybe he would lay with me in bed, but he seems to think that is the time to talk! So we moved it to the couch instead. William was up too by then. He was the first to want to snuggle!
We had a few errands to run for the day! One was to pick up our bikes from the bike shop! They needed a little tuning up! Charlie also needed a new bike since his was getting small for him, and William is ready for a bigger bike as well! We found this nice used bike that fit him perfectly! He was excited!
So if course we had to head out for a nice bike ride when we got home!!! It was a beautiful day for a nice bike ride!

Ross and I both worked today so William was with out sitter Rachel all day! She sent me this picture!
Apparently it was dirty under there and William felt it nedded to be vacuumed! After work, thd kids and I settled on the couch for a quite night after supper. This is how I found the boys.
Don't worry, it didn't take long before they started wrestling!!!

Spirit Week!~Crazy Hair day!

It is Spirit week at school for the kids! Today is crazy hair day. Here is what I came up with! William wanted nothing to do with having his hair spray painted! He just wore sunglasses to pre-school!

Garage organization!

Ross has been wanting to organize the garage and build some storage for a while now. I had to work, so he and William headed to Menards to get some supplies. Here is what I came home to.
Not finished yet, but getting there!

Skiing!

We surprised the kids by taking them skiing to Christie Mountain! Grace has been wanting to go all winter, but it was quite cold and busy. So, since today was going to be such a nice day, we thought it would be a good time to take them! Our neighbor Patrick and his son Finley came along as well!
This was on the way up! Kids were so excited, the hour drive drove them crazy!!! Ross and I weren't sure how today would go. We have only taken the kids one other time two years ago. We anticipated it being a long process teaching them how to ski. Well, not so much. Grace picked up right away and was impatient about going down the big hills. Charlie took a couple runs down the training hill and was ready to go on the big ones! William however was a little more work. He could go down the hill, but couldn't stop. We ended up putting him in ski lessons so Ross and I could take Grace and Charlie up the lift to the bigger hills! When William was done with lessons, he was more than ready to go up the lift and down a bigger hill. By that time, Grace and Charlie decided they no longer wanted to wait for their slow parents and went up the ski lift by themselves! After the Williams first time down the big hill, he also didn't want to wait for us and went down the hill all by himself with Finley by his side! We spent about 6 hrs skiing and the kids never complained....except when it was time to go!

Groceries and a Snowman!

Saturdays now have turned into my grocery day! It is impossible to take all three at once, but I enjoy taking one with me. William was the lucky kid! He loves to help out!
Since the snow is due to melt in the next week, I told the kids they had to get outside and enjoy the snow! They decided to make a snowman! First one of the year. The other times they wanted to make one the snow wouldn't stick!

Kindergarten Roundup!

The day has finally come!!! William has been looking forward to this day about as much as he is looking forward to actually going to kindergarten!!!! The theme was Jungle, and the kids were to dress up as animals they might find in the Jungle. William was insistent on being a cowboy! There was no way to change his mind!
Afterwards we headed out for lunch with a friend, and then had to run a few errands. William again insisted on having his picture taken by this bear in Scheels!!

The ninja and the timberwolf!

Tomorrow is Kindergarten Round up for William and it is jungle theme, so we got out the Halloween costumes in search of something for him to wear. Charlie and William decided it was dress up time instead!
My friends birthday was on Christmas Eve, and since it was a busy week, I was unable to go out and celebrate. I asked her back in January if she wanted to go have supper somewhere for her birthday. Well, today was the first day that worked in our busy schedules. We went to a new Japanese restaurant(at least I think it was Japanese)in Chippewa Falls. Even the waiter got a good chuckle when he heard her birthday was in December and we are celebrating now! Oh well, better late than never!
